Frequently Asked Questions
Are you able to travel to do interviews?
Yes. We are willing to travel. Our crew is 2 people and 1 checked bag for equipment. You will be responsible to cover the cost of travel including airfare, hotel, and allowance for food.
What questions will be asked in the interview?
We have a template of great questions but will ask up to 7 specific questions upon request.
How long is the final video?
Edited videos range between 15-30 minutes depending on various factors including interview length and amount of b-roll and pictures. Any videos over 15 minutes will be $100 per minute and will be require approval from the customer.
Do you scan pictures or should I have them scanned on my own?
We do scan pictures. You are able to submit 30-50 digital pictures included in the cost of the video. Our scanners are very high quality. All photos must be given to Legacy Media at the time of the interview.
Can I have access to all the raw footage of the interview?
Legacy Media will keep all raw footage on a Google Drive for 30 days after the video is delivered. After 30 days, the raw footage is gone. So, make sure you download it if you want it!
Can I request video edits?
Legacy Media’s policy is that you get one edit upon request. Other than that Legacy Media has complete creative control of the editing of Legacy Videos. If the video is not to your liking, you have access to the raw footage and can find another editor or edit the raw footage yourself.
Will the videos be visible to the public?
It is your choice to make your video public or not. Part of your onboarding process will ask you to share the edited video publicly on our YouTube Channel. If you wish to do this, no passwords will be required to share with friends and family. But if you do not want this, you will need to download the video yourself and put it on your own video service (YouTube, Vimeo, etc)
